I come from Perth, Western Australia and yes, I do have a funny accent!
I began my vocational life as a journalist and worked for years with the CBC and ABC. Then, in 2016 my seven-year-old son was experiencing some tough social times at school and we took him to see a fantastic occupational therapist. It was a life-changing experience for him socially and for me, vocationally! The next year I started my Master's in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University in Perth, specialising in social and emotional health. I have since completed additional mental health training in CBT, ACT, IFS and mindfulness.
I now work with clients of all ages and abilities who are experiencing social or emotional challenges, or who are simply looking to "feel better". I love occupational therapy for its practical focus on achievable outcomes. I look forward to working with you as we develop strategies to enable you (or your child) to embrace a grounded and contented approach to life.
